Specialist repair of Roto door and window hardware across London. Tilt & turn mechanisms, sliding door hardware, gearboxes and locking systems — all repaired by experienced engineers.

Expert Roto Hardware Repair in London

Roto is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of door and window hardware. Their fittings are found inside doors made by dozens of manufacturers — meaning if you have a European sliding, tilt & slide or tilt & turn door, there's a significant chance it contains Roto hardware.

The Roto NT system is one of the most widely used tilt & turn hardware systems on the continent, while Roto Patio and Roto Patio Inowa are fitted to many sliding and tilt & slide door systems across the UK. When this hardware fails, it requires specific knowledge of the Roto system to diagnose and fix correctly.

Our engineers understand Roto hardware at a component level. We carry replacement gearboxes, corner drives, locking points and carriage components for the most common Roto systems, and can source specialist parts through our supplier network.

Common Roto Hardware Faults We Repair

  • Roto NT gearbox failure — door won't tilt or turn
  • Corner drive wear and failure
  • Locking point disengagement or seizure
  • Handle mechanism wear — stiff or loose handle
  • Roto Patio carriage wear and replacement
  • Tilt & slide mechanism failure — door drops or sticks
  • Keep plate misalignment preventing correct locking
  • Espagnolette bar damage or corrosion
  • Hinge wear causing panel drop or misalignment
  • Full hardware replacement on older systems

Roto Hardware Repair FAQs

My tilt & turn door won't switch between tilt and turn — what's wrong?
This is almost always a gearbox failure in the Roto NT system. The gearbox manages the switching action between tilt and turn positions. Replacement is usually straightforward once the correct gearbox is sourced for the specific door system.
How do I know if my door has Roto hardware?
Roto hardware is found inside many European-manufactured doors including those made by Schüco, Rehau, Veka and others. Look for the Roto brand name on the handle escutcheon or locking keeps. Our engineer can identify the hardware during a survey visit.
Can you replace Roto hardware with an equivalent if original parts aren't available?
Yes. For older Roto systems where original components are discontinued, we can source compatible replacement hardware that restores full function. Our engineer will advise on the best option during the survey.
How much does Roto hardware repair cost?
Our £70 survey fee covers assessment and quotation. Hardware replacement costs vary by component — many Roto repairs are completed for £200–£600 including parts and labour.
